This 1008 Lingam Temple is one of the famous temples of Tamil Nadu.

As soon as you start walking you will first see the lord Venkateswara temple, which is devoted to Lord Tiruapti Balaji . This temple complex has temples dedicated to many gods.

At the right of lord Venkateswara temple is lord Rama and Sita temple and once you walk further , you will find Lord Hanuman temple on right hand side.

Looking straight further on the left hand side you will see the main Lord Shiva temple, you can visit this temple and then go further up to visit other temples . or you can decide to go up further and visit temples of Lord Ganesha, Ma Mahalaxmi , Goddess Rajeshwari, Lord Murgan and come back to main temple ..

How to reach 1008 Shiva Lingam Temple

This temple is on Sale Coimbatore highway ( NH 544).

If you are travelling from Bangalore you need to take NH44 towards salem and then NH544 towards Coimbatore. You will see this temple on your right hand side. It will be around 8Kms before Salem city center.
