Shri Adiyogi and Isha Foundation – Chikkabalapura – Bangalore

Friends if you are in Bangalore and want to visit Shri Adiyogi at Isha foundation, you do not need to visit Coimbatore.

You can actually visit this majestic Shri Adiyogi statue and temple situated at the outskirts of Bangalore.

Isha foundation Bangalore is located near Chikkabalapur, not very far from Bangalore International Airport.

And Chikbalapur is a good area from tourist point of view.

You can plan to go to Nandi Hills but actually there are 3 ancient and very big temples in the region which you can plan to visit as well.

These temples are :

  • Rangsthala.
  • Bhoganadeeshwara temple and
  • Yoganadeeshwara temple..

You must visit these temples if you are living in Bangalore.

The statue of Shri Adiyogi here is very beautiful and this place is spiritually elevating.

How far is Shri Adiyogi and Isha foundation from Bangalore

Shri Adiyogi and Isha Foundation Bangalore is approximately 60 kms from Bangalore and 13 km from Chikballapur.

From Bangalore it takes approximately 1.5 to 2 hours. All depends on the traffic you get on the airport road.

From bangalore, it is towards international airport. So take NH44 and after crossing Chikbalapur you have to drive for about 13 km more.

Last 5 kms or so you need to drive on village road.

This road itself is very beautiful and well marked.

Parking your car

When you enter the premises you will have to take a parking ticket. If you are fasting then that will be deducted. There is sufficient parking space available.

There are couple of parking area. So make sure that you keep a note of where you have parked your car.

Aslo note that marking slots are not marked and pople park where they wish to park.

So many a times you park you car and once you are back after visit you find your car squeezed between other cars in such a way that it becomes difficult to take it out.

So be careful and park your car is such a way and place that chances of it getting stuck is less. You need to figure that out.

Dropping your shoes

You will have to drop your shoes at the entrance.

There is a shoe counter. You will get a packet there. Drop all your shoes in it and collect the token.

Then collect your shoes from the exit counter. Your shoe packet will be transported to the exit shoe counter.

You just need to show your token and get the packet back.

Visiting Shri Naga Statue

After dropping the shoe you enter the temple compound.

First temple is Shri Naga temple. A big Naga statue there where you can offer prasad and flowers.

There is a couple of counter, very well managed, where you can buy prasad and flowers. You can pay by card, cash or UPI.

Visiting Shri Adiyogi Statue

So after visiting Shir Naga statue you can proceed towards Shri Adiyogi.

Adiyogi ji’s statue is magnificent. There is a Shiva temople where you can offer prasad.

You will get the prasad there as well and you can make payment by cash/card or UPI

If possible stay there till 7.00 PM. There is a laser show in the evening which is very good.

There is a nice resturant in the premises. So you will get food there. Hence if you wish you can definitely stay there for longer time.

If you are returning back then there are some good food options on NH44.

As I mentioned before you can club your trip with Nandi hills and other temples on the area.
