Shri Ram Janmabhoomi is the birthplace of Lord Ram and it is in Ayodhya. It is an ancient city in north of India. Ayodhya is situated on the bank of the river Sarayu in Uttar Pradesh.

Ayodhya is one of the seven most important pilgrimage sites Saptapuri for Hindus. On 5 August, 2020, the grand ceremony of laying the foundation stone of Ram Temple in Ayodhya took place and a magnificent temple will come up here.

Shri Bhadrachalam Temple or Sita Ramachandraswamy Temple, Telangana – #2

Bhadrachalam Temple in Telangana is one of the most famous Lord Rama temples in country. The temple is situated on the banks of river Godavari. This temple in Bhadrachalam is an very important Hindu pilgrimage center. If you are in Telangana, you should not miss it.

This temple is in Maharashtra and is situated in the Panchvati area of Nashik. One of the most important oldest hindu shrines in the region.

Why Panchavati is famous ? and that is because during exile, Lord Rama and Ma Sita visited this place and they stayed here for some time.

The temple has a black statue of Lord Rama and hence the name Kala Ram temple. This is really unique. The temple was built in 1788 by Sardar Rangarao Audhikar.

He dreamt about the black color statue or Lord Rama and it is believed that he found the statue in the same place he has in his dream.

Kondarama Temple Karnataka – #10

As per local legend this place is was the residence of 9 siddha Purushas and also Lord Parusharama. It is said that Lord Parshurama used to live here and hence this place is also called as Bhargavapuri.

Bhargavapuri means the adobe of Bhargava or Lord Parshurama.

Another very important Lord Rama temple situated in the extreme north of the country.

It is one of the largest temple complexes located in in the north of India and has some very beautiful paintings from Ramayana.

This temple was built by setupatis of setukavalan, the custodian of the bridge built by the army of Lord Rama to cross the sea to reach Sri Lanka. The current temple was built in 12th century and is believed to have same shivling which Lord Rama worshipped before leaving of Sri Lanka.
